The OMG Network is a trustless, non-custodial, Layer-2 scaling solution for transferring value on Ethereum. Step-By-Step Instructions

Prerequisites

  • Chrome browser (or another browser capable of running MetaMask or another web3 wallet)
  • MetaMask (or another web3 wallet)
  • Basic knowledge of blockchain, Ethereum and Plasma.
  • A small amount of ETH and OMG on Ethereum (or alternatively, a small amount of OMG already on the OMG Network)

Deposit OMG from Ethereum onto the OMG Network

A small amount of OMG is required to cover the transaction fee for the faucet withdrawal on the OMG Network. The current fee per transaction is listed under the Withdraw section on the left.

  • Open the OMG Web Wallet (and allow access to MetaMask if requested)
  • Click "Deposit"
  • Click "ERC20"
  • Paste the following address into the address field: 0xd26114cd6EE289AccF82350c8d8487fedB8A0C07
  • Enter the amount you wish to deposit onto the OMG Network
  • Click "Deposit" and follow the instructions

Withdraw JetCoins from the Faucet

  • Click the "Withdraw" button on the left
  • Sign the message when prompted by MetaMask or your web3 wallet

(Optionally) Send JetCoins to Another Account

  • Open the OMG Web Wallet
  • Click "Transfer"
  • Enter the address you wish to send the JetCoins to
  • Select "JET" from the dropdown menu, and enter the amount you wish to send
  • (Optiopnally) enter a message that then recipient will be able to see
  • Click "Transfer" and follow the instructions

(Optionally) Exit Back to Ethereum

A small amount of ETH is required to cover the gas fee for the exit to Ethereum.

  • Open the OMG Web Wallet
  • Click "Exit"
  • Select the UTXO you wish to exit back to Ethereum
  • Click "Submit Exit" and follow the instructions
